Arnold “Tuffy” Epstein  has been a member of the Omaha Musicians Association local #70-558.  He is presently on the board of directors.

He received his Bacholor’s Degree in music from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln where he was a member of the Cornhusker Marching Band.  He received his Master of Music Education from UNL also.

He was a member of the Air Force Band  of the Rockies stationed in Denver, Colorado.

Upon completion of his tour of duty, he became band director at Carson-Macedonia Community Schools, Carson, Iowa.

He was the  first orchestra and band director at Nathan Hale Middle School where he was also talent show coordinator.  During the same period of time, he was utility woodwind player in the Omaha Symphony Orchestra and lead woodwind player in the Aksarben Show Orchestra.  He also played all of the shows at the Orpheum Theater from 1964 to 2000.

He was woodwind instructor for the Cathedral Arts Council for 14 years.

He has taught at Dietze from college to the present.
