My Teaching Experience:

I have over 15 years of experience teaching private lessons to students ranging in age from 7-adult. My students have spanned all skill levels, from youth and adult beginners to high school and university students. I have coached numerous high school students through successful All-State auditions and collegiate music program and scholarship auditions.

My Teaching Philosophy:

Learning only happens when the student feels safe, supported, and encouraged. Music lessons should be fun! The process of learning a musical instrument builds skills in patience, discipline, and confidence. My teaching approach fosters resilience and a growth mindset in students, without shame and judgement.

I tailor each student’s lesson experience to their needs and goals. I have worked extensively with students from all backgrounds and skill levels, including students that are neuro-divergent, or have learning disorders, ADD/ADHD, etc. I have also worked with students that have anxiety (related to performing in public, or in general), depression, and other mental health diagnoses. Wherever you are in your musical journey, all students are welcome and celebrated in my studio!
