Alvarez Artist AD60

Alvarez Artist AD60 60 Series Dreadnought — Natural Gloss

After more than 50 years of guitar making, Alvarez has built a reputation for delivering instruments that genuinely punch above their price point — and the Artist 60 Series Dreadnought is one of the finest examples of that philosophy in action. Built around a solid Sitka spruce top, Alvarez’s proprietary FST2 bracing system, and a real bone nut and saddle, this is a dreadnought that delivers powerful, balanced projection whether you’re strumming hard, flat-picking, or working through complex lead lines.

Key Features

• Top: Solid Sitka spruce — powerful, open, and responsive with excellent dynamic range and balanced treble and bass registers
• Bracing: FST2 forward-shifted scalloped X-brace system — the axis of the X sits closer to the soundhole, creating a larger vibrating soundboard area for greater energy, projection, and tonal balance
• Bridge: Bi-level rosewood design that increases string break angle from saddle to top for improved tension, response, and feel
• Nut & Saddle: Real bone throughout for superior tone transfer and tuning stability
• Finish: Thin natural gloss nitro — applied as thinly as possible to let the soundboard vibrate freely and optimize tone
• Body Shape: Dreadnought — powerful and versatile for strumming, flat-picking, and lead work
