Ibanez SR305EB 5-String Standard Bass

Ibanez SR305EB 5-String Standard Bass

Stepping into five-string bass territory is a big move — and the Ibanez SR305EB makes sure that move doesn’t come with a steep learning curve. Built on the legendary SR platform that’s been trusted by professional bass players for decades, the SR305EB pairs a slim, fast neck with powerful PowerSpan pickups and a flexible 3-band EQ to give you a low B string and a whole lot more without sacrificing playability or comfort.

Key Features:

• PowerSpan Dual Coil Neck and Bridge Pickups — Passive dual-coil pickups designed to deliver a wide tonal range with strong output and clarity, from warm, full neck tones to punchy, defined bridge sounds
• 3-Band EQ with 3-Way Power Tap Switch — Ibanez’s custom onboard electronics give you active bass, mid, and treble control, while the Power Tap switch lets you shift between pickup configurations for single-coil clarity, dual-coil punch, or a parallel combination — serious tonal versatility in a single bass
• 5-Piece Maple/Walnut Neck — The multi-laminate construction adds rigidity and stability, reducing dead spots and improving sustain across all five strings, including the demanding low B
• Nyatoh Body — A warm, resonant tonewood with mahogany-like characteristics that complements the low-end weight of a five-string without feeling muddy
• Jatoba Fingerboard with 24 Medium Frets — Smooth and fast, with a slightly bright character that helps the low B cut through a mix rather than disappear into it
• 34″ Scale Length with 16.5mm String Spacing — Full scale for proper tension on all five strings, with tighter spacing that keeps the neck manageable and fast
• Accu-Cast B125 Bridge — Precise intonation adjustment and solid string anchoring for consistent tone and feel across the entire neck
• Black Hardware — Clean, modern aesthetic that pairs well with any finish
