Sonja Lundgren

Instructor of Violin, Viola, and Cello

As a music educator, I taught string instruments for ten years in the
Blue Valley School District in Overland Park, Kansas.  While living in
San Diego, I taught general music, instrumental music, strings and piano in several public schools.

I want my students to enjoy music and feel a sense of accomplishment on the instrument of choice.  For the beginning or experienced student, I will use music materials that offer a systematic learning approach. We will explore the elements of the musical notation system and learn music drawn from a wide variety of sources.

My educational background includes a Bachelor of Music Degree (with teaching), a Master of Music Degree, and Certification to teach Gifted Students.
