Andy earned a B.A. in music from Berea College. He then attended Western Iowa Tech in Sioux City, IA and studied band instrument repair, which is a 2-year program. He then moved to Lincoln to work for Dietze Music and has been doing so for 20 years.
He was a bassoon player in high school and college and has an understanding for double reed instrument repairs that many other repair techs do not have.
Andy enjoys working on both brass and woodwind instruments as well as developing good relationships with area band directors and music educators. He feels that it is important to listen to customer concerns and communicating repair issues with the customer is key to a successful repair shop and encourages feedback from the customer/player.

Josh has been repairing and building instruments for 8 years.
He grew up in a musical family in Omaha. His love for music continued to grow through high school, so he decided to attend Augustana University to earn a music performance degree on the tuba and bass. From there, He sought to combine his passion of music with my woodworking skills in the form of guitar building. He attended the Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery in 2011 and began building acoustic and electric guitars and basses.
Soon after, he started repairing musical instruments of all kinds at a music store in the Omaha area. During that time, he learned a wide variety of repairs on brass, woodwinds, and orchestral strings. In 2019, he was hired at Dietze and says he is happily repairing all kinds of instruments at our Bellevue location.
Rich started at a local music store in Repairs, Sales and lessons in 1998. There he became a certified technician with Fender Guitar Company and other brands.
He has been an active musician playing live music in his band and with others.
In 2003 Dietze Music hired Rich at the former Downtown Lincoln location where he continued advancing his knowledge of Instrument Repair.
In 2013 he moved to our Omaha location to grow our String Repair Department working with area music directors, educators, students and professionals.
With many years of String Instrument Repair experience, Rich is happy to help you.
Graduated from WIT (Western Iowa Tech Community College) in 1987 and repaired since. Worked for Dietze since 1998.
