Alyssa Pracht is an oboist and pianist based in the Lincoln area. She has been teaching private lessons since 2013. She began her piano studies at the age of seven, and started playing and studying the oboe in the fifth grade. She also has taken private lessons on the organ and the Baroque oboe, and is skilled in music theory.

Alyssa earned her Master’s in Oboe Performance and Literature in 2021 from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY, where she studied with Dr. Richard Killmer. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance with an emphasis in oboe from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln in 2019, where she studied with Dr. William McMullen.

You can frequently find Alyssa freelancing on the oboe in the Lincoln area and assisting customers as a Dietze employee. She also occasionally accompanies choirs and soloists at Lincoln-area schools and plays piano on her church’s worship team. When not busy with these things, she enjoys baking and playing games with family and friends.
