INSTRUCTOR PROFILE

Darryl began his journey in music in Los Angeles, Ca. He studied music theory in college as well as take private lessons from instructors at Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, Ca. One of his instructors was Jennifer Batten who later went on tour with Michael Jackson.  After Darryl moved to Omaha, he played guitar as a pit musician at the Omaha Community Playhouse. He is currently playing guitar in the band I Am The Pendragon.  Darryl can teach song structure, scales, modes, chord scales, improvisation strategies and techniques including advanced tapping, arpeggios, sweep picking, sequences, and harmonics.  Darryl currently is playing extended range guitars and can teach technique as applied to 6 string,  7 string and 8 string guitars.  Darryl is currently studying flamenco guitar playing.
