INSTRUCTOR PROFILE

Eric Linke is a recent graduate of the University of Lincoln Nebraska having just completed his doctorate in horn performance. During his time at UNL, Eric held a graduate teaching assistantship with the Husker Horn Studio, teaching private horn lessons for a variety of undergraduate students.
 
In 2017 Eric returned to Western Illinois University and earned a master’s degree in instrumental performance. While at WIU Eric was a graduate assistant for the bands department and directed the pep band and aided with educational events hosted by WIU Bands. During the summer of 2018, Eric served as the instructor of horn at the WIU Summer Music Institute. He taught sectionals and private lessons to students ranging from grades 6-12.
 
Eric has had the opportunity to perform with ensembles such as the Hastings Symphony, Quincy Community Theater, the Quincy Symphony Orchestra, The Knox Galesburg Symphony, and the Celestial Winds Woodwind Quintet. Eric has also performed with the Chicagoland Educator’s Orchestra at the Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago Illinois. Eric’s teachers include Dr. Randall Faust Dr. Jena Gardner and Dr. Alan Mattingly.
